Cream puff snacks

If you want to eat a really yummy dessert than you should try this. This fabulous cream-filled puffs is well known in Hungary and in Romania too, the size and cream can be variable, but the original recipe is with vanilla and whipping cream. My friend`s mother used to make with chocolate cream. Keep these in mind for a party or to take to an event, if you are able to keep them away from your family.

Ingredients for 23 little snacks

1dl water
100gr unsalted butter
100gr flour
2 tbsp sugar
pinch salt
half tsp baking powder
3 eggs

Cream:

instant vanilla cream, I used banana custard

1. In a saucepan stir together water, butter, salt and sugar and bring to a boil.

2. Reduce heat to medium and add the flour all at once, beat quickly with a wooden spoon until mixture thickens and pulls away from the side of the pan. Remove pan from heat.

3. Preheat oven to 200C

4. Wait a few minutes until the batter chill down a little bit. Vigorously whisk in one egg at a time until the egg is fully incorporated, repeat the process with the remaining eggs.

5. Spoon the batter into lightly greased baking pan or onto a lined cookie sheet. (3 tspn of batter) Leave space between them therefore they to grow.

6. Bake in preheated oven for 17 minutes, until golden brown. Do not open the oven door during this cooking period because your snacks will fall.

7. Meanwhile whisk together the instant vanilla cream and place in the fridge.

8.
Slice the tops off , let the pastries go cold little bit.

9. Spoon or pipe the vanilla cream inside when the pastry chilled down.

10. Sprinkle the tops with icing sugar.
