Romanian Polenta or Mamaliga

This is the Romanian traditional food, everybody who traveled once in Romania tried it. In the past this was the food of the poor people, but today you can find in expensive restaurants as well. In every region they make in different ways and eat with different garnish. Some people especial in villages  eat instead of bread. Their polenta dish is more strong, they use to cut with a yarn.
You can eat polenta with, cheese, milk, yogurt, omlette, sour cream, stew or jam (yes it is very tasty with strawberry jam). Serve with pickles or sauerkraut.
The recipe for cooking is the same, but are who put the cooked polenta in a slightly greased pan, add cheese and bacon (cut the bacon in pieces and fry for a few minutes), add another layer of polenta and sprinkle the top with cheese and bake for 20 minutes on 180C.
Cook the polenta and add sour cream and cheese on the top.
Cook the polenta, form dumplings and stuff with cheese, place in preheat oven for 10 minutes on 180C.
Prepare the polenta, place in a dish and pour milk or add jam.
