Cacao tea cookies

Very simply cookie recipe what you can eat while you are drinking your favorite tea or a cup of coffee. Use your creativity to make different forms and different decoration. Fell free to use cinnamon, nuts, sesame seeds, coconut or Nigella Sativa (Haba Al-Barakah).




Ingredients:

230 gr flour
50 gr unsalted room temperature butter
2 tspn cacao powder
1 tspn baking powder
1 tspn plain yogurt
1 egg
50 gr sugar
nuts to decorate

1. Mix the flour with baking and cacao powder, then add to the flour and mix it well.

2. Preheat oven to 200C.

3. Add the eggs and sugar to the flour mixture, mix it well. Cover dough, and chill for 30 minutes.

4. On a clean floured surface, roll out the chilled dough. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters and decorate the cookies. Put them on a greased cookie sheet or on a bakery paper

5. Bake 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are barely brown. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
