Butter tea cookies

This cookies I made from my Hungarian Snow Crescent recipe. It is a special Hungarian and Transylvania's cookies what we use to eat at winter specially during Christmas and for Santa Claus (Mikulas). I made some modification in the form to, for the filling I used strawberry jam. In original recipe the filling is with grounded nuts or poppy seeds.

Ingredients:

175 gr yogurt
175 gr unsalted butter
400 gr flour
4 gr baking powder
6 gr icing (caster) sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
jam

1. Preheat oven to 180C.

2. Add the baking powder to the flour and mix with the room temperature butter. Add the yogurt and sugar to. Mix all the ingredients and form a soft ball. Add more flour if needed.

3. On a floured surface roll out the dough and cut circles (I used the vanilla sugar box, but you can use a small cup)

4. Put in the middle of the circle a little bit from the jam and fold a circle in half and seal in edges.

5. Reroll leftover batter until all the dough is used up.

6. Bake in a lightly greased baking pan for 15 minutes or until they begin to get a little color.

7. While still warm, roll the cookies in the icing sugar.
