Red kidney beans and sauerkraut dish
2 can of red kidney beans
100 gr sauerkraut
1 medium onion
1 big carrot
3 bay leafs
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
half teaspoon thyme
half teaspoon salt
2 finger frankfurters sliced or sausage
1. Cut the onion in slice and fry it in 2 tablespoon oil.
2. Slice the carrot and add to onion, cook for 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. rinse the beans and add put into pot (without the liquid from can). Add the bay leafs, thyme sauerkraut and frankfurters, pour 250 ml water on it, cover with a lid and cook for 15-20 minutes.
Serve with sour cream and white bread.
