Applesauce is a purée made of apples, is it a well known sauce in all Europe. It is often an accompaniment to a main course.
Applesauce is perfect as a dessert for children or babies as it is easily digested. It can also be used in many baking recipes to add moisture and cut down on the amount of fat.

Ingredients:

half cup cold water
1 lemon juice
2 tspn honey or 3 tspn sugar
1 pinch salt
1/2 cinnamon

1. Peel the apple and cut in little cubes.

2. Add all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the apples just begin to fall apart, 10 to 15 minutes.

3. Remove from heat and mix everything with a stick blender or food processor. Adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if you like.
