Japanese beef teriyaki with noodles


Beef teriyaki is more a US food than a Japanese chicken teriyaki is knowed by Japanese people.
Teriaky sauce you can find in bottles on market shelves, but nothing compare with a tasty home made sauce.

Ingredients :
100 gr ready cooked noodles
half carrot
1 bell pepper
2 green onion
100 beef

Marinate:
1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon sake

Teriyaki sauce:
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sake
2 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoon mirin
1 teaspoon corn starch (mixed with 1 teaspoon water)



1. Slice the beef into thin pieces. Marinate the beef with the marinade, for about 20 minutes.


2 Slice the carrot, bell pepper and onion, fry in a bit of oil until they have softened, add the cooked noodle and mix it.

3. Mix all the ingredients for the Teriyaki Sauce in a little pot. Heat up a small sauce pan and prepare the sauce. As soon as the sauce starts to bubble, remove it from the heat.

4. Add some oil and pan fry the beef, until slightly charred. Put the beef inside the sauce and mix it.

5. Place the noodle and vegetable mixture in a plate and pour the sauce with beef on top. Serve it hot.
