Chicken on sauerkraut

Sauerkraut other name is sour cabbage. It is well known in Central and Est Europe especial in winter session.Old people say `` if you eat sauerkraut during the winter, all the year you wont see doctor``. 
Many health benefits have been claimed for sauerkraut, it is extremely high in vitamins C, B, and K.The fermentation process increases the bio availability of nutrients rendering sauerkraut even more nutritious than the original cabbage. It is also low in calories and high in calcium and magnesium, and it is a very good source of dietary fiber, folate, iron and potassium.



Ingredients:

400 gr sauerkraut
2 big apple
5 chicken drumstick cleaned and skinless
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
half teaspoon dill
half teaspoon salt
3 cloves garlic
bell pepper or green pepper

1. In a greased baking pan place the sauerkraut. Place the, apple, chicken drumstick, bell pepper and  garlic on the sauerkraut, sprinkle with ground black pepper, dill and salt.

2. Cover the pan with a kitchen foil and bake in preheated oven on 200 C for 40 minutes. Remove the cover and bake another 25-35 minutes.
