Fried polenta

Very delicious side dish recipe. I found it to be a lovely and simple dish for during the day or at weekends near fish or steak.
You can use your favorite condiment instead of rosemary, but I think rosemary make polenta to taste great. Served with homemade tomato sauce you can prepare a delicious vegetarian dinner.

Ingredients:

3 mug water
 half teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon rosemary
3/4 mug polenta
50 gr grated Cheddar or Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic

1. Bring to boil the water, add the salt.

2. Slowly add the polenta to water stirring continually on medium fire, until you get a thick sauce (aprox. 12 minutes). Add the rosemary and cheese to polenta, mix it well until combine.

3. Pour the polenta in a cake pan (place a kitchen foil in the pan) or a dip dish. Let it to stand until is cold.

4. Cut thick sticks from polenta and fry them in the olive oil. For a better taste fry the garlic in the oil with the polenta. Fry 3 minutes every side until become golden brown.
